There are 4 “C” principles when you select diamonds: cut, color, clarity and carat weight; it is an importance to distinguish the quality and value of a diamond.

    1.       Cut is the only one entropic factor. A cuter with exquisite craftsmanship will make good diamonds bright, also he can help the internal light reflects to the surface of diamond. The cuter should cut one piece diamond to be a mirror.

    2.       Color, in some super jewelry shop, many diamond used for comparison are displayed, diamonds in several color grade are lined to help people distinguish. Some customer cannot compare the colors of diamonds by eyes, we should know that the diamond in achromatic color is the best, with the yellow became darker, the quality of diamond will be worse.

    3.       Clarity, totally, blemish determines the value of a diamond. Be more exactly, we should learn to see the impurities of diamond. Almost every piece diamond has impurities even the high quality one.

    4.       Carat weight, carat used is treated as a decisive standard for determining a diamond quality and value. It is said that people cannot believe that someone can afford a piece of 2 carats diamond. Actually, the cut of a diamond has the same importance with the clarity and weight.  The value of a piece of bad work in yellow color which has impurities 2 carats diamond is less than a perfect diamond. So carat is not the most important factor for determining the value of a diamond.
